About Us

About Us

Outreach is a public benefit non-profit organization established in 1979 in California’s Bay Area. Our mission is to connect vulnerable populations with information and assistance that will help them to live independently and with dignity within their community. We provides information and referrals on resources focused on mobility solutions for seniors, low-income individuals, Veterans, persons with varying abilities and caregivers.

Vision

We envision an inclusive and diverse community where individuals can gain access to available, affordable, accessible and reliable transportation services and mobility options beyond those provided by a single agency.

We envision a person-centered one-stop shop approach to accessing information on the availability of transportation services and mobility options to enable rider choice, to reduce barriers to transportation, and to meet mobility needs in different situations.

Experience

We started as a nonprofit during the “War on Poverty” era seeking out isolated elderly and persons with disabilities in our neighborhoods to connect them to human services and transportation needed. We have decades of experience interacting with the people we serve in our diverse community. We have engaged in planning and grants with regional, state, and federal entities to promote assistance to the people we are honored to serve.

More than a decade ago we embraced Mobility Management in a transformational manner. Outreach & Escort, Inc. was the first recipient of the Mobility Management Organization of the Year Award from the Community Transportation Association of America in 2012.

During and after Covid, on-line access to information became even more important for everyone we serve and their caregivers, families and friends. Mobility Management strategies provide information about available alternatives when public transportation may not have been available, appropriate or sufficient.
